They're so beautiful!

What do you have against me? I tried to join Osprey Friends and was denied. I answered the questions reasonably and appropriately. I’m not spam and I’m not a troll. No one will give me an answer why I was denied. You let in a troll account with a troll profile picture over me. I don’t get it. I haven’t done anything to anyone, and I don’t think it’s fair that I’m being treated like this. Can I just get an answer?

Amazing that M & Harriet are raising E21 & E22! This was 13 E’s ago! If you pay attention, the eaglets right now are this big and are about 10 days younger! Give or take a day or 2 depending on these birthdays. So who know these little eaglets might be mommy’s or daddies of their own! ( if they fledged?) I recall did something else happen along the way?

So many great years at this nest.

What a concept. Just jump up and fly away. Dated a few girls like that. But, this bird/chick later was smashed by its adult mom with a stick as he stopped in for a quick visit. Maybe the stick had bird directions on it to the nearest fish place.

At the time I remember how weird E5 looked the day before after eating whatever it was it ate. E6 didn't get any but E5 chowed down. As usual. I was watching then to see if E6 was getting fed because E5 was attacking it so much everyone was concerned E6 might be in trouble. But, at this point you could clearly see E5 was sick. Even if it wasn't hungry (it passed eating before) it would have gotten up and attacked E6 just on GP. You could tell it was ill. And, I figured it had to be that feeding from the day before.

This was so fascinating! Stan and Iris were so formal with each other, with each one going through a little "dance," tiptoeing around each other, as they were slowly getting comfortable being together again. It's such a contrast to the comfortable, casual and "picking up where we left off" relationship the Iris now has with Louis. I didn't get to know Stanley very well, but, to me, he reminds me of the dads of the 50s and 60s. What a sweetheart he was! RIP, Mr. "Man!"

I monitor and observe several Osprey nests during the season, and Iris and Louis are the most special of couples!

One way to stop the fight...lay on them! lol How many days apart were E7 & E8? they look about the same size.

Infanticide is not uncommon for eaglets that share a nest.

That must be tremendously confusing to a mother to suddenly have a baby back like that.

Aww that was awesome! So happy that he was so easily welcomed back home after being gone! 💓
